I have never seen a rocking horse this detailed. I could not identify the
maker, but it is carved in the style and pose of antique carousel horses, and
may have originally been part of one such carnival ride.

A hand carved and carousel quality rocking horse. Adorned with carved
rosettes, rose garlands and mane bow. Brass tacked saddle and woven reins.
Constructed from solid wood and hand painted a creamy white with pink, blue,
purple, green and gold flourishes. Very intricate. Sturdy and ready to ride. As
photos show this item is in very good vintage condition. As expected. age and
use has worn some of the paint, revealed slight wood joinery seams and
discolored the rope reins. The rocking horse is roughly 122cm in length (4
feet), 35cm deep and 85cm in height.
