Gift giving season is approaching, and what little girl wouldn't like a new
quilt for her doll. Or, for that matter, a quilt for a new doll. This quilt was
made with a traditional 4" Jacobs Ladder block using orange and blue fabric
with the cutest little foxes. The block is also called Underground Railroad and
Off to California, but all of the names refer to movement or going somewhere.
It is made with half square triangles and 4 patches. I love scrappy, so the
oranges are an assortment of fabrics while the navy draws your eye in a line,
up the ladder so to speak. A traditional block, but with fun fabrics. Because
of the size, I machine quilted this quilt myself with diagonal lines through
the 4 patches. Bias binding in blue completes the square. Whether used as a
blanket for a doll or stuffed animal or hung as a mini quilt, I'm sure this
version of Jacobs Ladder will be
