Handmade Van Gogh glass kaleidoscope (2021-10-222) that integrates
semi-precious small stones, stained glass and multi-fiori glass beads.This
kaleidoscope is a 7 inch long kaleidoscope using silver and bronze Van Gogh
glass that provides a focal point whether it is in use or in a prominent place
in your home. Each 4.5 inch diameter wheel consists of 12 individually wrapped
semi-precious stones, multi-fiori glass beads, and small stained glass shards.
It is constructed with 3 front surface mirrors in a 60 degree triangular
configuration.

One my favorite stones to use in these wheels is moss agate which is
translucent and provides a wispy element to the mandalas. (The mandalas are the
patterns that you will see through the scope.) Since there are two wheels with
different elements in each wheel, each wheels can be rotated to provide a whole
different set of mandala variations. Also integrated into the wheels are
various clear patterned glass that provides interesting variations in the
mandala displays. This scope has been finished in an silver solder look with
decorative solder techniques to provide and interesting look to the scope as it
sits on your shelf.

The best view of the mandalas are in front of a light source.

I personally made this kaleidoscope in my home-based studio in Papillion,
Nebraska in October 2021. I started making kaleidoscopes in earnest in 2015
after many years doing regular stained glass work. I enjoy making kaleidoscopes
believing that they are the kind of item that can be handed down from
generation to generation.

Additional wheels may be purchased if you want more variety for an additional
$75 each with the initial purchase or at a later date. Shipping for later
purchases will be borne by the buyer.

The scope is finished with polish and all solder surfaces are coated with a
clear oil-based polyurethane/lacquer coating. This scope is signed,dated on the
bottom with its serial number.

Shipping information:

This kaleidoscope will be shipped via USPS priority mail with both wheels
detached and packed separately. Either bubble wrap or packing peanuts will be
used to insure safe delivery to your home. International shipping is available
but costs are must be determined and borne by the buyer.
