This listing is for a two teleidoscope set which features matching 6.5"
teleidoscopes and display stands. Each teleidoscope comes with a custom sewn
padded pouch for adventures outside the home.
Kaleidoscopes were first discovered in Scotland in 1816 by Sir David Brewster,
an optical physicist doing experiments reflecting polarized light between
plates of polished silver and gold. He went on to write a comprehensive
publication covering the math and physics of many aspects of the kaleidoscope.
This set features two teleidoscopes which use a clear marble as an optic lens
to focus the outside world into the mirrors which reflect them into the
patterns seen within. These teleidoscopes feature two distinct mirror
geometries, a 3 mirror equilateral system which produces interlocking and
overlapping hexagonal and triangular patterns, and a 3 mirror right isosceles
systems which creates diamond and square like patterns which shift and morph
with your movements.
